We are beyond proud to share that Zac has won not one but TWO GOLD MEDALS AND ONE BRONZE MEDAL in the International Flanders Open Championships.
Pendle Doors employee Zac Robinson recently travelled to Antwerp in Belgium as part of the GB Jujitsu Team to take part in the International Flanders Open Championships, returning triumphantly clutching not one but Two Gold Medals and a Bronze.
Zac has been a member of the elite GB Jujitsu Men’s Team for a number of years, competing internationally in Europe and the USA. This was their first outing for 2025, and it proved very successful for Zac. During the tournament, he came up against some top international opponents from Sweden, Spain, Italy, and Belgium.
His next target is the home championships of the Welsh Open in April and then the GB Nationals in June. Then it is back on the road again in Autumn for the European Championships, which this year are back in Belgium. Let’s hope that’s a good omen.
The sport of Jujitsu is totally unfunded in the UK, as opposed to many European Nations that fully fund their athletes. So, Zac and his teammates have to raise all their finances themselves for travel, accommodation, entry fees, equipment, etc., which do add up.
Over the years, he has managed to obtain the odd sponsor for events, but as you can imagine, it is an ongoing challenge.
If there are any companies or individuals out there who would like to offer Zac and/or his GB Team some sponsorships, please do get in touch.
